Products Management

Adding Products

  1. Go to – Products > Add Products.
  2. Provide a Product Name,
    Brand,
    Units,
    Category
    Sub-category

    SKU: Add a unique SKU which will be used to identify the product & Print barcodes labels. Leave it empty to auto-generate a SKU for you. You can also add a Prefix for auto-generated SKU.
    Barcode Type: Select a barcode type, default/recommended is C128 option. We don’t recommend changing unless the product added already has a SKU number.
    Not For Selling: If a product is marked not-for-selling then it will not be displayed in the POS sales screen. This can be useful for the processing and manufacturing module to select raw ingredients as products non selling item that only used for creating products. This can also be used if you want to temporary disable selling limited or discontinued products.
    Alert Quantity: Alert quantity is used to alert you when remaining stocks reaches a set level or below it.
    Manage stock
    : Enable/Disable stock management at a product level. Product stock management is not required for services like Consultation. For items with Manage Stock Unchecked (disabled), you can sell them in unlimited quantities.  Selling of service using Green Leaf Seed-to-Sale
  3. Select an applicable Tax for your product. Adding Tax
  4. Product Type:
    Single:
    • Select single from the variations option
    • Enter default product price including tax
    • Enter default product price excluding tax
    • Optional – Enter Profit Margin % (you can set default profit margin from settings -> Business Settings; this will automatically ad a default % every time). Based on the profit margin it will auto calculate the selling price excluding Tax.
    • *We recommend managing this from Purchases or entering in the selling price manually and it will auto adjust the profit margin for you.

Product Variations

Variables: 

Applicable to a product having variations (like size or flavors) You can define variation templates from Products -> Variations. The advantage of creating variation is that it saves time adding the same variations multiple times.

When selecting Variable product – It will display different fields to add all variations and its related Purchase price and Selling Price. You have to select the variations from the drop-down in order for it to auto-populate the variations for that template and click save. You can also change the variable name and variation values to match different products. Read more about adding variations

Adding Products with multiple variations:

If you have products which involve multiple variations like for example an Edible can have different Weight variations and Colors so we have two examples of ways to work with this:

Solution 1, Create combined variation: You can create a variation named “Gummies-25gm” and add values like Red-25gm, Purple-25gm, PotLuck-25gm, etc.

Solution 2, Create multiple Products: Create multiple different products like Gummies-Red, Gummies-Purple, Gummies-PotLuck with Weight as variations. When you create multiple products you will NOT have to enter the same details multiple times, first, add the Gummies-Red with all Weight variations and then use the Duplicate Product action to copy the data.
